Here are some answers to commonly asked questions, please do get in contact if your query isn't covered.
1. Can your products be washed?
The short answer is yes, though for decorations, samplers and teddy bears considerable care needs to be taken, these products are hand or surface wash only.
For my bags, aprons, tea towels and napkins these can be washed in your normal wash. I recommend washing at 30°C, (though a little higher will be fine) and tumble or line drying. They can be ironed with a hot iron. (Though not over any embroidery) To further protect the embroidery wash bags inside out and place aprons in a pillow cash or laundry bag.
2. What are the dimensions of your aprons?
The toddler and children's aprons have an adjustable velcro neck loop. This is easier to put on than a fixed neck loop and gives you about 10cm adjustment so that the apron can grow with the child.
The length measurements for each apron are approx:
• Toddler (1-4 years) - 30.5cm
• Children's (5-8 years) - 55cm
• Children's (7-10 years) - 62cm
• Adult - 79cm
3. How large are the drawstring bags?
These can easily fit a change of clothes (toddler sized), drinks bottle and snack; or a pair of wellies; or swimming costume, towel and goggles, or primary school PE kit. So they are suited to whatever adventure your little explorer is embarking upon!
These bags are a rectangular drawstring bag with two straps like any other backpack. I've made the length so both kids and parents can wear it as I know how often we end up carrying their bags!
Flat they measure approx. 30cm x 37cm
4. What fabrics do you use?
My main linen look fabrics are a canvas fabric which is 80% cotton, 20% Polyester and so doesn't crease easily. All the plain coloured fabrics (used for pockets and straps and samplers) are 100% cotton.
The felt I use for my decorations is 40% wool, 60% viscose.
Teddy bears are made by upcycling customers' clothes.
5. Do you make all your products?
Yes I do! I am a one woman band, all the products on my page are designed, made and marketed by me. I have a variety of sewing machines to help me, including a very clever embroidery machine, which enables me to personalise my products just the way my customers want them. Because of this please feel free to contact me if you would like me to make you something specific which is not listed. I shall do my best to help.
6. How do I request personalisation?
Please choose a font from the photos in the listing and leave me a note (on the cart page) with the number of your choice and the exact spelling of the personalisation that you require. Please note that the character length possible will differ for each product, use the photos for each listing to guide you or contact me if you are unsure.
7. Packaging and Posting
This year I have made a concerted effort to make my packaging more environmentally friendly. Your gift will arrive either in a recyclable Kraft cardboard box, or wrapped in unbleached tissue paper. These are then wrapped in recyclable kraft paper for posting.
I use the Royal Mail second class service unless specifically requested and delivery is free of charge for all items excluding memory bears.
The time I need to prepare an order for dispatch varies. Items which do not require personalisation have a processing time of 1-2 working days. Items requiring personalisation have a processing time of 2-4 working days. Custom made items (such as memory bears) will have a processing time which varies dependning on current waiting lists, please confirm by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

8. Can products be returned?
Do the the personalised nature of the products, in general returns are not accepted. The exception to this are items that are not personalised (such as tea towels, or some decorations) or if there has been a mistake made in the personalisation by myself (ie. returns are not accepted if the wrong spelling is provided by the customer, but are if the spelling sewn is different to that provided). Please see returns policy for more details.
